Vibe Your brand.

One thing I wish I had given more attention to when I first got behind the chair is, my brand.

My brand is exactly that, MY Brand. Not Coach, Nike, or Kate Spade. Mine.

So a little backtrack about me;

I entered the beauty industry back in 2015. I started out as a Front Desk, then worked my way up to becoming the District Manager of three high-producing Salons. I had so much fun handling the business side of this industry. Helping the salons reach & meet numbers collectively, helping Stylist build their books, & growing into an amazing team. Then in 2019, I decided it was my time to be behind the chair. So I went to school & got my license!

Flash forward to when I decided to share a suite with a friend & rent a chair. I figured; “okay it will take time to build, but we got this!” So I started off running ads on IG, investing in Yelp Advertisements, sharing on Social Media, going full-on with promos & discounts trying to do EVERYTHING.

Well, that wasn’t at all sustainable. I burned out quick, my marriage was rocky due to the burnout, & I was so focused on trying to get people into my chair, I had clients that I either hated doing their services, or clients that didn’t vibe with me at all.

I knew I was missing a big piece to the puzzle but I wasn’t sure what. So I hit up one of my closest friends who introduced me to Jacki at Lifted Salon. She had the missing puzzle piece, align my brand.

I focused on what I REALLY wanted to do behind the chair first & foremost. Then I focused on, what I want every day to look like behind the chair. (That took a while to understand) Then, I asked myself; “why was I put on this Earth?” Followed by; “who am I?”

So I started with my name; I’m Abby Hart, my brand is Untamed Hart.

I chose Untamed Hart, because I LOVE my last name. Followed by, I have never liked feeling a cap on my potential, I have a huge heart, & love all my skills I’ve learned or developed or that came natural to me, so being “Untamed” allows me to be exactly that, me.

My name for me was the foundation I needed to really step into my brand. Even though I am a Hairstylist I am so much more then that. I am a Wife, Mother, Hairstylist, Friend, Web Designer, Vibe Curator, Social Media Coach, Blogger, Baker… okay okay you get the picture… there is no taming me on what I want to be!

So Untamed Hart was formed. I stepped into my brand, & now I love my brand wholeheartedly. It’s me. My clients sit in my chair to receive my services, not someone else. I help others learn how I stay sustainable online, not how some influencer does it. My brand is me.

I generated my services around what I love to do. I love balayage or lived-in color, extensions, & clipper cuts. I’ll play with other services every once in awhile.. but you will NOT see me doing a perm. Sorry, no.

I am an Auto Immune Warrior, working the old 12 hour days, with a few breaks here or there, is NOT my vibe anymore. My body will literally shut down on me. So I simplified my schedule.

I never want to feel stressed about my passion, so I set boundaries & streamlined my business to alleviate the stress.

It took a while, but now I am seeing the benefits.

My books are booked, I have WAY more free time then I have EVER had, I have time for all my crazy hobbies, I rest for my soul, heart, mind & body… to all me to continue to work my booked books…
