My biggest piece of advice when it comes to your hair is, to find a routine that works for you!
Not Becky down the street, your mom, or even your best friend. Find products & a routine that works best for you.
Ask your stylist what they recommend for your hair care routine, & what products they think will help benefit you.
Some people need more moisture, especially the curly ones. Some need more strength, like the blondies. Basically, everyone needs protection & a good leave-in. (I highly recommend Magic Myst from Incommon)
There has been a lot of misleading information about wash days, & when you should, & shouldn’t wash.
When someone has more oily hair, I recommend you wash more often within the week, maybe every two to three days, with a good clarifying shampoo in rotation. If your hair is more thick & dry you can totally go a bit longer, maybe once a week. Because your hair actually needs those natural oils in between washes. However, still, make sure to keep a good moisturizing oil & leave-in on hand.
Also, with each new season, your hair will require some shifts & changes. Like for instance, if you go swimming… time to whip out a good clarifying shampoo a bit more often.
When it comes to hair care there isn’t one size fits all. So ask your stylist. Go through trial & error as you learn what works best for your hair care routine.
Lastly, support your stylist & shop their products, instead of a major conglomerate like Amazon.
